Stuart doesn't use the room when David's not in the bar, not even for a catnap. If he's studying, he prefers the low hum of the bar proper, not to mention the convenience of instant tea and food when he wants it, sometimes even before he realizes he wants it.

When David is there, Stuart doesn't intend to do any studying, anyway. He's capable of choosing education over sex, but he prefers not to.

He takes off the satchel (heavy with books--he will study while he's here, just not now) and says as he sits on the bed to untie his shoes, "What were all the scripts for, anyway? Choosing an audition monologue?"

"'Familiar with the concept,'" Stuart mimics and tickles him.

David laughs, squirming away. "Stop that."

Stuart does, and lies on his stomach, his chin on his folded hands.

David curls up at his side, trailing his fingers down Stuart's spine with a smile.

"Want to sleep a bit? I think I'd like to sleep a bit. Studying after."

"Yes, I think so," David murmurs, cuddling closer.

Stuart pulls the duvet over them and kisses David's forehead.

David tucks his head against Stuart's shoulder. "I love you," he murmurs. "With or without the cream."

[pushtheboatout]

"I love you," Stuart replies. He presses his nose against David's temple. "I will do anything to you, for you and with you that you ask."

[smallgayjew]

David nods, smiling. "Next time," he whispers.

[pushtheboatout]

"Next time," Stuart agrees and strokes his fingers through David's hair until he falls asleep.
